Dawson Fills New Medical Library in Derby In what was a first for the book supply industry, the team at Dawson Books ordered, collated and serviced in excess of 3,000 books in preparation for 17th September 2003 when the entire collection was delivered and installed by the Dawson team straight onto the shelves of the new library in one day.
This massive project for Dawson Books culminated when the “Transportation and Delivery Team” – that’s Jackie Brooks-Cheesman, Margaret Beresford, Nick Jacklin, Richard Adams, Simon Cowler, Steven Welch and Tina Atterbury drove three vanloads of books to Derby. Representing many of the departments that worked on this project, the team arrived at the City General Hospital in Derby early on the Wednesday morning.
As you can see in the photos, the new library was not quite finished! Despite all the dirt, dust and machinery the team unloaded the books and put them straight onto the correct shelves in the new library, much to the wonder of the library staff. Moreover, upon inspection by the customer it was revealed that not one error had been made and the whole project was delivered on time. |
